ITA – A Berlino può succedere. Abbiamo già parlato di Berlino, della sua streetart. A Berlino vivono tantissimi top dj e dj emergenti, perchè Berlino è un po’ la patria della musica. Mentre Ibiza è il regno del divertimento, Berlino è l’unico luogo dove nasce costantemente così tanta musica elettronica. Perchè? Beh, è un insieme di fattori e circostanze: la libertà, la possibilità di fare squadra, la quantità di club e la diffusa cultura del clubbing.
E questa volta abbiamo conosciuto Radioslave, Matt per gli amici. Matt è inglese, un produttore storico di musica techno e non solo. Oltre ai dj set che esegue in tutto il mondo, ha molto progetti diversi, tra cui Electric Uniform e Love Hangover, due linee di tshirt molto famose. Noi l’abbiamo conosciuto un po’ meglio, abbiamo passato un po’ di tempo insieme in giro per Berlino e la cosa che ci ha colpiti di più è la forza e l’energia che conserva anche dopo tanti anni che suona e che vive questo mondo.
Radioslave suona nei principali party del pianeta ed è resident al Berghain di Berlino, la città dove vive adesso. Di origine è londinese e, anche lui, pensa che la chiusura del Fabric sia una perdita enorme per la scena.
Segnaliamo anche che questo Sabato (23 Sett 2016) sarà al Tenax, a Firenze, e che sarà un grande piacere per tanti giovani fiorentini ascoltare un produttore cosi importante.
ENG – It only happens in Berlin. We already talked about Berlin and its streetart. A lot of top djs and emergent djs live in berlin, because Berlin is the reign music. Ibiza is propably the place of fun, but Belrin is the only city where so much electronic music comes to life costantly. Why? Well, it is a complex ensemble of factores and circumstances: freedom, possibility of easely building teams, the amoutn fo clubs and the shared clubbing culture.
This time we met Radioslave, Matt for his friends. Matt is english, an historical techno music producer and more. Besides the dj sets he performes all over the world, he has many different projects, like Electric Uniform and Love Hangover, two famous tshirt brands. We had the chance to get to know him a bit more, we spent some time walking around Berlin and what impressed us the most was the strenght and the energy this man still has, even after so many years of playing and living this life.
Radioslave plays in the most important parties in the world and he is resident at Berghain, Berlin, where he lives. Originally from London, he believes, like we do, that the closure of Fabric is a huge loss for the international music scene. We sould like to remind that Radioslave will play at Tenax, Flroence, this Saturday (Sept 23rd 2016) and it will be a great pleasure for many young Florentines to listen to such an important producer.
ITA E’ stato un piacere essere stati invitati al linecheck e aver partecipato e seguito i vari eventi, talk e showcase delle label musicali.
Spoon My è un progetto molto aperto ed elastico a 360 gradi e come al solito abbiamo deciso di raccontarvi il Linecheck per come lo abbiamo visto noi, attraverso i talk degli addetti ai lavori.
Dino Lupelli – Linecheck, Elita. Cofounder.
Uno spirito estremamente giovane, un rivoluzionario: ci è piaciuto molto. Ha sempre cercato di tirar fuori delle verità, di stuzzicare maliziosamente gli ospiti e, come piace fare anche a noi, ha provato a tirar fuori quello che non viene detto o raccontato. Un grande mente, aperta a grandi idee e potenzialità, ma supportata da una solida esperienza. Tanto di cappello per aver creato, con pochi altri, un’esperienza di qualità come quella del Linecheck che, secondo noi, mancava in Italia. Un’esperienza che da l’opportunità a molti, persone come noi e molti altri, di interagire, conoscere, verificare, parlare, ascoltare davvero questo grande mondo della musica tramite le parole dei protagonisti che veramente lo animano ogni giorno con il proprio lavoro e i propri eventi.
Lele Sacchi – Rai Radio2. Host.
Lele Sacchi sa tutto! E’ intelligente, ha esperienza, un grande professionista della musica. Ci piacerebbe molto sviluppare dei progetti insieme a lui, soprattutto perchè, oltre alla sua grande professionalità, ci è sembrato un sognatore, un po’ come lo siamo noi. Anche se a prima vista può non sembrarlo, è un grande sognatore e il suo lavoro fa bene al mondo della musica, fa conoscere un sacco di cose: dal programma radiofonico, ai djset, a Elita (di cui è socio).
Emanuele Zagor – Zero. Night Editor.
Zagor è un giornalista che scrive per Zero, uno dei partner del progetto Linecheck. Ma non solo, è stato anche nostro partner: ci ha capito e ci ha dato la possibilità di arrivare a Zero. Zagor è fortissimo: ci fa impazzire il suo look, è sempre energico: balla, salta, corre da un evento all’altro, parla, manda mail, è un forza della natura. E questa forza è un’altra delle influenze positive che portano cose buone al movimento della musica.
Il talk
Abbiamo ascoltato alcuni talk estremamente interessanti, ma uno su tutti ci ha colpito: quello sui festival italiani di musica elettronica. Ci ha fatto molto piacere ascoltare le esperienze, i numero e il racconto del lavoro che si nasconde dietro eventi importanti di questo livello. Abbiamo sorriso anche quando abbiamo scoperto che, nonostante tutto, le amministrazioni comunali concedono dei fondi a questi festival, come all’Home Festival che, per un budget complessivo di 2.200.000 euro, ne ha ricevuti addirittura 3000 come sostegno da parte dell’amministrazione. Capito ragazzi? L’idea che ci siamo fatti è un po’ questa: dobbiamo provare tutti insieme a far crescere questo sistema e far arrivare alle istituzioni il nostro lavoro, il nostro mondo e la nostra economia, che è un’economia estremamente reale su cui noi lavoriamo, investiamo, cresciamo e crediamo.

My Spoon is a very open minded project and as usual, we decided to tell you about Linecheck as we saw it through what experts had to say.
Dino Lupelli – Linecheck, Elita. Cofounder.
Such a youthful spirit, a true revolutionary in the field: we love him. He always tries to bring out the truth, to entice guests and, as we like to do ourselves, he tries to bring out what isn’t said or told. A great mind, open to great ideas and potential, yet backed by solid experience. We tip our hat for having created, with few others, a quality experience like Linecheck, that in our opinion was ,and is, missing in Italy. An experience that gives the opportunity to many people like us and many, to interact, learn, see, speak and really listen to this great conglomerate of music through the words of the protagonists who really liven up every day with their work and events.
Lele Sacchi
Lele Sacchi knows it all! He’s intelligent, experienced, also a superb music connoisseur. We’d love to develop some projects with him, especially because, in addition to his great professionality we felt that he is a dreamer, just like us. Although at first glance it may not appear so, He dreams big and His work is great for the music scene, He knows lots of things: starting from radio shows, DJ sets, all the way to Elita (of which he is aa part owner).
Emanuele Zagor
Zagor is a journalist who writes for Zero, one of the project partners of Linecheck. But not only theirs, he was also our partner: he understood us and gave us a chance to reach Zero. Zagor is great at what he does: his look excites us, it’s always extremely energetic: he dances, runs from one event to another, networks, sends e-mails, he’s a force of nature. And this force is another positive influence that brings good things to the music movement.
The Talk
We have heard some extremely interesting talks, but one above all struck a nerve: the one on Italian electronic music festivals. We were very pleased to hear the experiences, number and the stories of the work that go on in the backstage of such important events. We smiled when we discovered that, despite everything, the municipalities granted funds to these festivals, such as the Home Festival. For a total budget of €2200 , it received a €3000 support from the cities administration. Got that? This is the goal we want to achieve: we must try together to grow this system and to get the institutions to invest in our work, our world and our economy, which is a real economy in which we work , we invest, we grow and we believe.
We thank Linecheck for inviting us and all the guests we met, promoters, bookers, organisers and professionals nationwide.

ITA Out of Time Lamps, Benjamin Klinge, il fondatore e creatore. Artista di Out of Time Lamps, un atelier di lampade molto speciali di Berlino, è un berlinese molto tipico: estremamente timido e poco estroverso, non troppo adatto a parlare, non troppo adatto ai riflettori. Però tutta la sua arte la esprime nel creare queste lampade psichedeliche, futuristiche, artistiche, piene della luce di se stesso e di Berlino che rappresenta.
Noi siamo molto felici per Benjamin, per il progetto, per quello che sta facendo. Ogni volta che andiamo a Berlino passiamo qualche ora in sua compagnia perchè è davvero un piacere stare con Benjamin, vedere il suo percorso, il suo sviluppo e tutto quello che sta facendo.
Benjamin ha già in mente quale sarà la sua strada: queste lampade saranno in giro per Berlino e per tutto il mondo. Noi scommettiamo che in futuro molte di queste lampade saranno a casa di tantissimi artisti, non solo berlinesi, ma di tutto il pianeta. Artisti come Ricardo Villalobos, Zip, e altri artisti che hanno base a Berlino hanno già preso da Benjamin le sue prime creazioni. Anche a noi Benjamin ha regalato una bellissima lampada.
Noi felicissimi per lui e per il suo sogno, che sicuramente diventerà realtà.
ENG Out of Time Lamps, Benjamin Klinge: founder and creator, artist of this very special lamps atelier in Berlin, he is a tipical Berliner: extremly shy, not outgoing at all, talking is not actually his thing, neither the lights. But he expresses all of his art by creating those psychedelic, futuristic, artistic lamps wich seem to be lit by his own light, the Berlin light.
We are more than happy for Benjamin, for his project, for what he is doing. Every time we go to Berlin, we spend a couple of hours with him: it is really lovely to see his progres and how is path is evolving, everything he’s doing.
Benjamin already knows his way: those lamps will spread all over Berlin and the world. We bet a lot of his creations will be in artists’ houses not only in Berlin but in the whole globe in the near future. Artists like Ricardo Villalobos, Zip and many others based in Berlin, already took some of his first pieces. We also got a present from Benjamin: a wonderful lamp!
We are super happy for him and his dream, which will definetly come true.
Kreuzberg è solo una piccola parte di Berlino, è il quartiere che più mi rappresenta. Caos e quiete, Arte e Vibe, energie, idee, sensazioni, emozioni, sorprese. Ovunque cada lo sguardo, a Kreuzberg c’è sempre qualcosa da scoprire: murales, negozi stravaganti, artisti che si esibiscono ad ogni angolo di strada, locali incredibili costruiti sulle rive dei fiumi con materiali di riciclo. Mi sento a casa quando cammino per Kreuzberg
Questo quartiere è già la base e il punto di partenza per tantissimi artisti e per la creatività in generale… Nei prossimi anni credo che possa nascere una nuova rivoluzione artistica culturale , forse è già iniziata.. Credo che possa portare fortuna, fama, gloria e successo per gli artisti che hanno creduto e creato tutto questo!!!
C’è un grande spazio verso il futuro, ci sono molte forme di esprimere la creatività e spazi per portare la propria energia e idee.
Certo il clima non è tropicale, la lingua non è semplice, ma le possibilità o le opportunità possono esser invitanti. Qui davvero se hai idee di qualità puoi emergere dalla massa, distinguerti dal sistema…
Vi vogliamo mostrare una parte di berlino non certo Charlottemburg non il mitte non la Porta di Brandeburgo ma una Berlino viva e vera ..
Due parole sui clubber intesi come frequentatori di club forse ne avete gia sentito parlare: qui ognuno e libero di esser quello che e’ e presentarsi vestito o nudo e’ indifferente.. Siamo tutti individui, siamo tutti esseri umani che non cercano la normalita’ qualunque essa sia’, che non cercano i riflettori son loro che riflettono ..che non cercano un tavolo o una area vip ma che semplicemente vivono un’esperienza senza foto senza video senza social. Qua le persone non hanno bisogno di sfoggiare orologi o brand di ultima moda ma semplicemente se stessi… Chiunque essi siano!!!
Anni fa’ venivo a Kreuzberg a cercare, vedere e scoprire l’arte , oggi in queste vetrine di alcuni shop potrete vedere e trovare i nostri prodotti ben in mostra per me questo e’ un sogno che e diventato realtà…

Kreuzberg is just a small part of Berlin, but it is the neighbour thet more represent me. Caos and calm, art and vibe, ideas, feelings, emotions, suprises. Everywhere you look, in Kreuzberg, there is always something to discover: wall paintings, strange shops, artists performing at every corner, incrdible bars built by the river with recicled materials. I feel like home when I walk around Kreuzberg.
This neighbour is the starting point for many aritsts and creativity in general. I believe it might start a new artistic and cultural revolution in the nest years, maybe it alread started. I believe it’s going to bring luck, fame, glory and success to the artist who believed in this and created it.
There is a deep look for the future, there are many ways to express creativity and places to show the world our energy and ideas.
Well, the climate is not tropical, the language is not easy, but possibilities and opportunities are pretty much tempting. If you have quality ideas you can emerge from the mass in here, be different from the system.
We wanna show you a part of Berlin wich is not Charlottemburg, or Mitte, or the Brandeburg Gate. We wanna show you a leaving and truthfull Berlin.
I wanna spend a coupe fo words about clubbers as people who are used to hang out in clubs, but you might have already heard about them: everybody is free to be whoever he is in here, you can show up clothed or naked, no one would notice. We are all human being not seeking for normality (whatever it is), we don’t look for light, we shine on our own. We don’t look for a table on a VIP area, we just live our experiences without taking pictures and post them into social networks. People here don’t feel the need to show off their brand new watches or their branded clothes, they just wanna be themselves. Whoever they are.
Years ago I used to come to Kreuzberg to see and discover art, today in some windows of those shops you might find our products finely displayed: it is a dream coming true for us.
Forse non potrei mai trovare tutte le parole per descrivere quello che sei, che fai, che rappresenti. Se oggi noi frequentiamo, viviamo il mondo della notte, del clubbing, è anche grazie all’impegno di persone e artisti che con la loro passione e sacrificio ci hanno fatto vivere, conoscere e sognare tutto questo. Io stesso non avrei mai fatto nulla senza avere un modello, un punto, un percorso…
Quello che noi proviamo a fare oggi, negli anni 90 era la normalità. E’ tutto un’imitazione, una ripetizione della storia.
In questo video potete vedere che cosa vuol dire, secondo noi, fare il deejay, che cosa significa essere un deejay. Un deejay deve emozionare, deve dare, deve far scoprire, deve far ballare, deve far urlare. Non importa se di fronte a 50, 100, 1000, 2000, 3000, 4000 persone, l’importante è far divertire, far ballare, far emozionare. Questo è il deejay. Quando un deejay fa questo, secondo me, secondo noi, ha fatto il suo lavoro e la serata è riuscita.

Vorrei spendere due parole sul Tipic di Formentera dove siamo stati ieri sera. Spoon My è presente con un suo official corner al Tipic Club di Formentera. Un locale fantastico, unico nel suo genere a Formentera. Un super impianto. Ringraziamo tutto lo staff del Tipic, Daniele, Marielisa, Marco, tutti i ragazzi. E’ un piacere passare delle serate con loro e avere la loro collaborazione ed essere stati capiti da loro per il nostro progetto. Li ringraziamo e ci vediamo presto, a Formentera!

I may never find the right words to describe what you are to me, what you do, what you represent. If today we live the nighlife, the world of clubbing as we do, it is also due to the efforts of people and artist that helped us to live, discover and dream about all this, with their passion and hard work.
My self in first place would have never done anything without my models, without landmarks ot a path. What we try to do today, it was normal back in the 90s. It’s all just an imitaiton, the story repeating it self.
In this video you can see what being a deejay really means to us. A deejay should give people emotions, make them discover, dance, scream. It doesn’t matter if in front of 50, 100, 1000, 2000, 3000, 4000 people: what matters is making them have a good time, dance, insipered. This is a deejay. When a deejay get to this point, well, he did his job according to me, to us. The show has been a succes.

“PENSANDO A IBIZA. La cosa più importante che vorrei far capire di tutto questo, è che Ibiza sembra una cosa scontata, facile, perché tutti gli artisti sono qua, tutte le persone sono qua. Devi avere un buon background, devi conoscere le persone, devi essere una persona curiosa, simpatica, diversa, estroversa. Poi magari riesci a conoscere artisti, persone, riesci a conoscere meglio la loro vita, cosa pensano e cosa non pensano. A Ibiza questo può succedere cosi, andando in giro per la strada, andando al supermercato, andando in posti normalissimi. Penso che al vita al di fuori del mondo della musica elettronica, la vita al di fuori delle discoteche e del clubbing, sia molto più importante, più reale, più vera. Da vivere. Ogni volta mi da la dimostrazione che ci si diverte con pochissimo. E si sta molto bene.”

Anche solo riuscire a capire, magari a determinati artisti o determinate persone piace il proprio lavoro, piace la parte visual, piace l’opportunità di avere foto, di avere interviste. “THINKING ABOUT IBIZA. The most important thing I want people to understand about all of this is that Ibiza seems pretty obvious and easy because all of the artists are here, everyone is here. You’ve got to have a good background, you have to know people, you have to be curious, nice, different, extroverted. Then maybe you can get to know artists, people. You can learn more about their backgrounds, what they think and what they don’t. In Ibiza this can happen, going around in the street, going to the supermarket, going to the most basic places. I think that life outside of electronic music, life away from the clubs and clubbing, is much more important, more real. To live. It’s proof that you can have fun with very little. And it feels great.”
“MY FRIEND SAN PROPER. He is a unique character. For me, he’s a fantastic person, an insane artist. I’ve wanted to ask San some things, I wanted to know a bit’ of info. About how he thought, how he saw it. On his work, on his performances. Even being able to understand how certain artists or certain people enjoy their work, like visuals, the opportunity to have photos taken, be interviewed. And San told me that he loves all of that. Dario Rossi, un artista di strada nel senso più alto della parola, un artista che non si colloca se non a metà tra le percussioni, la musica elettronica e la creatività più sana e genuina che viene, appunto, dalla strada. INTERVISTA CON DARIO ROSSI – VERSIONE ITALIANA
A: Sorry I’m not a Deejay intervista Dario Rossi Drummer! Ciao Dario! Come Stai?
D: Ciao! Tutto bene, tu?
A: Io sto benissimo, sono contento che sei venuto a Firenze. Dario è un grande drummer, è un artista di strada, è un deejay, è un musicista. Sei un po’ tutto Dario!
D: In realtà sorry I’m not a deejay, però eh!
A: No, no, ragazzi, non è un deejay! Scusate non è un deejay… Ci racconti la tua storia?
D: Va bene, io, allora, nasco da un interesse per il suono e per la musica in generale in tutte le sue forme perchè da bambino avevo l’interesse per ascoltare dei suoni e riprodurli con degli oggetti di fortuna che trovavo o in casa o in garage. Ero molto appassionato alla musica degli anni 80 perchè quando avevo quattro o cinque anni ascoltavo a casa le musicassette dei miei genitori e io mi soffermavo a sentire i suoni delle batterie elettroniche. le tastiere, i synt. E mi piaceva riprodurle, cioè, emulare gli stessi suoni con degli oggetti in casa. Ascoltavo musica progressive e trance, c’era una radio a Roma chiamata Mondo Radio dove passavano questo tipo di musica e io mi mettevo in camera, la sentivo, mi piaceva e cercavo di imitare quelle cose. Quindi ancora prima di pensare di suonare uno strumento ero, cioè, già avevo un ritmo che veniva da quel tipo di suono, dal suono elettronico comunque. Quindi diciamo che pur essendo batterista, sono un po’ atipico per il fatto ho una predilezione per l’elettronica piuttosto che per il rock… E quindi nulla, bene così…
A: Senti, che oggetti usi nei tuoi live set?
D: Da secchi di vernice, a tubi di alluminio, oppure scarti industriali. Ho un citofono… Ah, ho il pezzo dell’ammortizzatore di una motocicletta che fa un rumore di cristo, è bellissimo!
A: E’ una ricerca o è il caso, il destino che deve darti questi oggetti?
D: No, no, c’è un nesso. Nulla è messo a caso. Tutto quanto ha il suo posto nel set. Infatti anche quando metto a posto gli strumenti dopo il set, anche in quel caso ogni cosa ha il suo posto altrimenti la borsa è piccola, la roba non c’entra dentro quindi. Ogni cosa è calcolata.
A: Siamo curiosi di vederti montare! Progetti futuri?
D: Adesso il mio obiettivo primario è prendere contatti nel mondo che mi interessa, nel mondo techno dei club e realizzare il prossimo anno il mio EP, già sto a un buon punto con le tracce. E quindi il mio prossimo obiettivo è concludere questa cosa e uscire, o autroprodurmi o su un’etichetta, poi vedremo come andrà. Però ecco, il mio prossimo fine è questo.
A: Cosa pensi prima di fare una performance Dario?
D: Penso a fare la performance.
A: Pensi alla musica, al suono, alla gente?
D: Si, mentre suono sono abbastanza concentrato sull’esecuzione, però chiaramente è un’emozione diversa ogni volta che si suona perchè cambia il pubblico. Ogni volta, appunto, è come ricominciare un’altra volta da zero.
A: E’ stato un spettacolo vederti montare questo show, non vediamo adesso l’ora che ti esibisci! Ma su ryanair non puoi viaggiare, bagaglio a mano te…
D: No, evito sempre l’aereo io, sempre bus o… Tra poco andrò anche a piedi o macchina…

INTERVIEW WITH DARIO ROSSI – ENGLISH VERSION
A: Sorry I’m not a DJ interviews Dario Rossi Drummer! Hello Dario! How are you?
D: Hello! I’m fine, you?
A: I’m fine, I’m glad you came to Florence. Dario is a great drummer, he’s a street artist, a deejay, a musician. You are a bit of everything Dario!
D: Actually, Sorry I’m not a deejay!
A: No, no, guys, he’s not a deejay! Sorry he’s not a deejay … Why won’t you tell us your story?
D: Well, I am born into an interest in sound and music in general, in all its forms. As a child I had the habit of listening to sounds and playing them back with objects I found around the house or my garage. I was very passionate about the music of the 80’s, because when I was four or five I used to listen to my parents cassettes and I loved hearing the sound of the drums, the keyboards, the synth. And I liked to play them, that is, emulate the same sounds with objects in my house. I use to listen to progressive music and trance. There was a radio in Rome called Mondo Radio, where they aired this kind of music and I would sit in my room tune in, I would feel it, I liked it and I was trying to imitate those sounds. So even before thinking of playing an instrument I was, well , I already had a rhythm that came from that particular sound, from the electronic scene anyway. So let’s say that despite being a drummer, there is something somewhat ‘atypical because of this fondness I have for electronics rather than rock … So, yeah
A: So, what objects do you use in your live sets?
D: From paint buckets, to aluminium tubes, or industrial waste. I have an intercom … Oh, I have this cushion piece of a motorcycle that makes a great sound, it’s beautiful!
A: Is it a search or is it random or is it fate that should give you these objects?
D: No, no, there’s a logic. Nothing is placed at random. Everything has its place in the set. In fact, even when I put the tools back after the set, even then, everything has its place otherwise the bag is too small, the stuff won’t fit. Everything is calculated.
A: We are curious to see you set up! Future projects?
D: Now my primary focus is networking in the world that interests me, the clubs in the techno world, and realise my EP by next year, I’m already at a good point with the tracks. And my next goal is to end this thing and get out, or do my own production or on a label, then we’ll see how it goes. But well that is my next step.
A: What do you think before a performance Dario?
D: I think about the performance.
A: Do you think about the music, the sound, the people?
D: Yes, as I play I’m pretty focused on the execution, however, it is clearly a different emotion every time you play because it the public changes. Every time, in fact, it’s like starting again from scratch.
A: It ‘was great to see you prep this show, we look forward to see you perform! But, well, you can’t travel on Ryanair, you and hand luggage…
D: No, I always avoid planes, I take buses or… soon I will walk or go by car …

Hi Robin! How are you?
I’m fine, yeah, I’m fine. A little bit excited because tomorrow is the big show. Time of Mannheim is coming up. 22nd year now. We have a very good team, we are prepared, everybody is in good mood. Really looking forward to do the show.
This is a big curiosity, but how many people work in Time Warp?
We have here in our office 16/17 people and for Time Warp there are hundreds of people. There are a lot of drivers bringing all the guests and the artists. We have production team, extra production companies and we have people to do the stage set up and the sound, the lights, different decoration team. There are hundreds of people working there.
It’s about the team you know? Because the team is strong and everybody does it with a lot of passion and energy and everybody loves the music. and this is what is about.
You organized more time warp, I see your flyers.
It is part of the history.
You started 94

And started with Laurent Garnier, John Acquaviva.
Yeah, a lot of this guys.
I don’t know on top of my head who played then, first edition.
When you started you were art director or you take art director?
No, one of my partners. We are three partners, Frank, Steffen and myself. Stefan is the art director for the program. He is doing all the booking and programming, Frank is looking after the high end production. And my self, I do all the marketing, sponsoring.
Now you do Time Warp all around the world. Is a big project, a very very big, more important project. Songs, festivals.
It’s our summer edition, the Time Warp Summer Edition.
What is the difference between USA Time Warp, Argentina Time Warp…
Every Time Warp has its own vibe. Time Warp in Germany is very very international over here. 60% of people from all over the world. From everywhere: Australia, Japan, China, Europe, North and South America. It is very international and it is very intense party, over 24 hours.
In USA mostly North American people, in Argentina mostly South American People.
The biggest difference is Time Warp Germany is the longest and the most international one and it is a very big platform, a meeting point for the whole industry, for the whole scene. Everybody comes.
And the other editions have their own vibe. Every artist changed his style, adapted to new styles, inspirations, news things; to technologies which are a lot in development. I think back in the old days, deejays used to play a little bit more different styles, more a little bit broader, and now they have their road on which they walk with their sound, so, you can’t really tell.
But all in all, people stayed focused on the music and stayed focused on the mission to make people dance which is basically our mission as well. At Time Warp we want to make people dance. Why we built up all this huge stage design, floor design and everything because we want to get people to have the best possible dance experience.
So, you know, we believe in what we do. We come from the dancefloor, we were ravers, we started to do the shows and we do by heart and so we are friends with all the artists, with the scene. We love what we do and this make the big difference, I think.
I think you need to develop things. We did two shows in Italy and when we did it, 4-5 years ago, there were hardly other big events and now a lot of events are developing in Italy. So, I think Italians also picked up on how to improve the shows, hot to present big shows.
But tomorrow I think 50% is German 50% is Italian!
No, no, 50% percent is German 50% is the rest of the world!

Sto bene, si, sto bene. Un po’ emozionato perché domani ci sarà il grande show. Sta arrivando il momento di Mannheim. E’ il ventiduesimo anno adesso. Abbiamo un ottimo team, siamo preparati, tutti sono di ottimo umore. Non vediamo l’ora che fare lo show.
Questa è una grande curiosità, ma quale persone lavorano al Time Warp?
Abbiamo qui nel nostro ufficio 16 o 17 persone e per il Time Warp ce ne sono centinaia. Ci sono molti accompagnatori che portano in giro gli ospiti e gli artisti. Abbiamo un team di produzione, altre case di produzione esterne e abbiamo persone che si occupano del set up del palco, le luci. Abbiamo diversi team per le decorazioni. Ci sono centinaia di persone che lavorano qui.
Il team è tutto, sai? Perché il team è forte e ognuno ci mette tanta passione e energia e tutti amano la musica. E’ tutto qui!

Quando hai iniziato eri tu il direttore artistico o ne hai assunto uno?
No, uno dei miei soci. Siamo tre soci, Frank, Steffens ed io. Steffens è il direttore artistico del programmazione. Si occupa di tutti i booking e la programmazione, Frank si occupa della produzione di livello alto. Ed io mi occupo di tutto il marketing e la pubblicità.
Adesso fate il Time Warp in tutto il mondo. E’ un grande progetto, molto molto grande e importante. Penso a tutte le tracce, i festival…
E’ la nostra edizione estiva, l’edizione estiva del Time Warp.
Qual’è la differenza tra il Time Warp USA, il Time Warp Argentina…
Ogni Time Warp ha le proprie vibrazioni. Il Time Warp in Germania è molto molto internazionale qui. 60% delle persone vengono da tutto il mondo. Da ogni parte: Australia, Giappone, Cina, Europa Nord e Sud America. E’ una festa molto internazionale e e intensa, sono più di 24 ore.
In USA ci sono principalmente persone del Nord America, in Argentina persone del Sud America.
La più grande differenza è che il Time Warp Germania è il più lungo e il più internazionale ed è una grande piattaforma, un punto d’incontro per tutta l’industria, per tutta la scena. Tutti vengono.
E le altre edizioni hanno la propria atmosfera. Ogni artista ha cambiato il suo stile, si è adatto ai nuovi stili, alle ispirazioni, le cose nuove, le tecnologia che si stanno sviluppando molto. Ripenso ai vecchi tempi, i deejay suonavano stili un po’ più diversi e allargati, ed ora ognuno ha la propria strada che percorre con il proprio sound, quindi, è difficile da dire.
Ma tutto sommato, le persone sono rimaste concentrate sulla musica e sulla missione di far ballare le persone, che è fondamentalmente anche la nostra missione. Al Time Warp vogliamo far ballare le persone. Il motivo per cui abbiamo costruito questo gigantesco design del palco, della pista e tutto il resto è perché vogliamo che le persone vivano la migliore esperienza di ballo possibile.
Quindi, sai, crediamo in ciò che facciamo. Veniamo dalla pista, eravamo ravers, abbiamo iniziato a fare gli eventi e lo facciamo col cuore e penso che questo faccia la grande differenza.
Penso ci sia bisogno di sviluppare le cose. Abbiamo fatto due show in Italia e quando lo abbiamo fatto, 4 o 5 anni fa, c’erano a mala pena altri grandi eventi e adesso ci sono un sacco di grande venti che si sviluppano in Italia. Quindi, penso che anche gli Italiano abbiano capito come migliorare gli eventi, come presentare i grandi venti.
Ma domani penso che ci saranno 50% di Tedeschi e 50% di Italiani!
No, no, 50% saranno Tedeschi e 50% dal resto del mondo!
