San Proper – One day off in Ibiza

July 30th, 2016 Posted by Senza categoria No Comment yet

“On my day-off I like to jam acoustic punk-music in the sunshine like a hippy.”

“PENSANDO A IBIZA.

ENGLISH VERSION

“THINKING ABOUT IBIZA. The most important thing I want people to understand about all of this is that Ibiza seems pretty obvious and easy because all of the artists are here, everyone is here. You’ve got to have a good background, you have to know people, you have to be curious, nice, different, extroverted. Then maybe you can get to know artists, people. You can learn more about their backgrounds, what they think and what they don’t. In Ibiza this can happen, going around in the street, going to the supermarket, going to the most basic places. I think that life outside of electronic music, life away from the clubs and clubbing, is much more important, more real. To live. It’s proof that you can have fun with very little. And it feels great.”

“MY FRIEND SAN PROPER. He is a unique character. For me, he’s a fantastic person, an insane artist. I’ve wanted to ask San some things, I wanted to know a bit’ of info. About how he thought, how he saw it. On his work, on his performances. Even being able to understand how certain artists or certain people enjoy their work, like visuals, the opportunity to have photos taken, be interviewed. And San told me that he loves all of that. It’s not easy to understand if others like what you do if they approve your project. San and I today spent a beautiful day together. We stayed at the sea, we played a bit of guitar, we looked for inspiration and chatted. San is a great person. Mister San Proper. He’s a great artist we talked about life, music, and deejay culture. And today was his day “off”, after a long time, he told me he just wanted to be by the sea, in his bathing suit and his slippers in Talamanca, Ibiza.”

“SAN PROPER AND HIS GUITAR. San Proper bought this guitar in Ibiza, Old Town, and today he played for us. Actually, not only for us, for all of you and all the people that were in Sapunta. It’s been great to spend a beautiful day and evening with San. We had dinner at Fish Shack, a famous Ibiza restaurant where many artists go, on the reef of Sapunta, Salamanca.”
“US. The design of our blog tells this story: to make it clear that we, through our project and our television program, want to show you and tell you about artists in a different way, an easy way, as we lived them ourselves, and as I experienced them personally. In a daily setting, without the stereotype of nightclubs, clubbing, or events … Because many artists like to live their life in the meanwhile … It’s not easy being a deejay, a deejay doesn’t have an easy life. San himself doesn’t have it easy, he travels a lot, he plays a lot of nights, sleeps very little, he also has fun, of course. But it’s not always easy, and for how beautiful of a life it is, this is just another thing we want to tell you.”
